Coach Hill is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio where he graduated from C.A.P.E. High School, one of the most successful athletic schools in the country. He earned a basketball scholarship at Division I Western Kentucky University and played one season there before transferring to Ashland University.
Coach Hill had a very successful career at Ashland, leading the team as the point guard and helping Ashland become one of the top teams in the country during his tenure. Ashland was ranked number one in the country several times and participated in the NCAA tournament, where they advanced to the Elite Eight in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Coach Hill was named a College All-American in 1992 for Ashland and still holds several records there, including having 19 assists and 7 steals in a single game. After graduating from Ashland, he participated in several European camps for professional basketball.
His coaching career began 10 years ago as the founder of the nationally known Cincinnati Lakers Youth Organization. The Lakers have had several top finishes at national tournaments over the years and have the reputation as being one of the best defensive teams in the country under Coach Hill's guidance. This past season, the Lakers program had 15 teams and several of them were among the nation's best.
Coach Hill also has been a coach with Aiken High School and Walnut Hills High School the past several seasons.
Known for player development and enriching the lives of young people, Coach Hill will bring a very defensive-minded approach to OMW that will certainly bring out the maximum potential in each individual player as we compete against some of the top programs in the country.
Coach Hill resides in Cincinnati with his two sons, Ricardo Jr. and Ryan.
