Christian Ministries

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The purpose of the Christian Ministries Department is to produce Christ-centered leaders with the knowledge, values, and skills required to fulfill the Great Commission. The major in Christian ministries is designed to provide both a cognitive and effective biblically-based foundation with spiritual enrichment for effective ministry.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students will:

  1. Acquire knowledge of biblical content, develop the ability to interpret, and apply biblical principles.
  2. Gain an understanding of the doctrines of the Bible and be able to defend them.
  3. Develop leadership skills for the specific ministry for which the student is preparing
  4. Learn to integrate appropriate technologies and resources for effective ministry
  5. Be prepared for a ministry position or enter other institutions for graduate work.
